KTXS Forecast - Showers linger Friday
ABILENE, Texas - We have a stalled cold front to our east and an upper level disturbance that should pass to our north Friday. These weather features are keeping us cloudy with mist or light showers expected to persist into Friday evening.
Visibilities have been low around I-20 Thursday evening. Nearby airports have reported visibilities sometimes less that 1/4 mile. Reduce speed and leave a greater following distance when driving through foggy areas.
Cloudy skies will continue Thursday night. Light rain showers are expected to return. Low temperatures should be around 60 Friday morning.
Friday may be much like Thursday with overcast skies and passing light showers. High temperatures should be in the upper 60s.
Light showers may continue into Friday evening. So, be prepared with rain gear when heading out to football games. Cloudy skies will persist. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be in the upper 50s.
It is forecast to be dry Saturday, but clouds will take their time breaking up - hopefully during the afternoon. High temperatures should warm into the middle 70s.
Partly cloudy skies should be back with us Sunday. Afternoon temperatures should climb back into the middle 80s. Dry weather is expected to hold for Monday, but rain chances return Tuesday.
