KTXS Forecast: Showery Wednesday
ABILENE, Texas - Showers and a few thundershowers moved back into the eastern half of our area Tuesday evening. Showers are forecast to spread farther west Tuesday night. Severe weather is not expected, but lightning will be possible.
Mostly cloudy skies should continue for the rest of Tuesday night. Showers should gradually build into our western areas before sunrise Wednesday. Low temperatures should be in the lower 70s.
Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday. Passing showers will be possible. Rain chances should gradually end from east to west during the afternoon. High temperatures should be in the lower 80s.
Dry weather is expected for Wednesday night with mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be in the upper 60s.
Partly cloudy skies should return Thursday and stay for Friday. High temperatures should be in the middle 80s both days.
A weak cold front is forecast to approach our area from the north late Friday night. This could send a few showers into our area Saturday morning. Sunday and Monday will likely be dry. High temperatures are expected to be back in the upper 80s.
We are tracking a fairly strong cold front that should blow through our region Monday night and bring a true taste of fall weather for Tuesday.
