KTXS Forecast: Slight break from the rain before our next cold front

ABILENE, Texas - Monday night conditions will continue to be mostly clear, lows cooling to the mid-30s with north winds at 5-10 mph.

On Tuesday, our next cold front will start moving into the region. Cloud cover will build into partly cloudy/ mostly cloudy by the afternoon with highs in the low 50s. Into the afternoon rain chances build to a 30-40 percent chance of showers to thundershowers for the entire Big Country. Tuesday night rain chances decrease and lows will cool to the upper 30s with northeast wind at 5-10 mph.

Wednesday rain chances move out and skies clear slightly to mostly sunny/ partly cloudy. Highs will warm to the upper 50s/ low 60s with south winds at 5-10 mph. Wednesday night lows cool to the low/ mid-40s with mostly clear conditions.

Thursday and Friday highs are expected to reach the upper 60s/ low 70s with sunny to mostly sunny skies. Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-15 mph. Lows during this time will be in the mid-40s with clear skies.

For the coming weekend, another round of cold fronts will move into the region. Sky cover will build to partly cloudy/ mostly cloudy with highs in the mid-60s on Saturday and cooling to the low 60s on Sunday. There will also be about a 10-20 percent chance of showers for the region during this time.
