KTXS Forecast: Still expecting more showers
ABILENE, Texas - A steady rain settled over most of our area for most of the day Wednesday. Most locations received another 1/2 to 1 inch of rain. Most locations around and north of Abilene are reporting 4 to 6 inch rainfall totals since the rain began Sunday.
We have seen a break in the rain in our western areas Wednesday evening, but showers are forecast to return later Wednesday night. Cloudy skies should continue over our region Wednesday night. Showers are expected. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be near 60.
Cloudy skies with occasional showers are forecast for Thursday. High temperatures will try to reach 70. Showers stay in our area Thursday night. Low temperatures Friday morning should be around 60.
Light showers are expected for Friday and Friday evening. Overcast skies should continue. High temperatures should be near 70. Temperatures for the football games should be in the 60s. Low temperatures Saturday morning are expected to drop into the upper 50s.
Dry weather is likely for Saturday. A cloudy morning may give way to a partly cloudy skies late afternoon. High temperatures Saturday should be in the middle 70s.
Look for partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures Sunday. Afternoon readings should be in the middle 80s. Dry weather is forecast to hold through midweek.
