KTXS Forecast: Rain chances continue into Sunday
ABILENE, Texas - Rain chances stay with us through the very early morning as more moisture moves into the Big Country with the bulk of the rain moving in between 6 AM and 12 PM. Rain chances weaken through the afternoon and a few showers will still be possible in the evening but beginning to clear out overnight. Rain totals Sunday could be above an inch with locally higher amounts possible in heavier downpours. Expect highs to only get to the lower 60's. Lows overnight will be in the mid to upper 40's across the region.
Monday, things start to warm back up again as sunshine makes its way into the area. Highs return to the upper 70's/lower 80's with west winds becoming southeast at 5-10 mph. Overnight, lows will be in the lower 50's as cloud cover works its way back in.
Windy conditions return Tuesday ahead of our next cold front. Expect strong south winds between 10-20 with higher gusts possible. Highs Tuesday will be in mid to upper 80's across the region. The front will come in dry overnight and skies will clear through the evening. Lows will be in the upper 40's.
By Wednesday, expect a very cool day with highs in the upper 60's. Northwest winds will prevail from 15-20 mph with mostly clear skies. Lows will be chilly overnight with temperatures in the upper 30's/lower 40's for the area.
We finish the week with temperatures back in the mid to upper 70's with plenty of sunshine.
