KTXS Forecast: Summer-like conditions continue today
ABILENE, Texas - After setting a record high in San Angelo yesterday and rivaling the records in other places, expect cooler temperatures throughout today. Highs will range from the mid to upper 90s across the area. Winds will be from the south at 15 mph but could gust to 20 in places. Expect a few clouds to roll in towards the afternoon.
Rain chances are possible towards the evening hours as storms form out west. They may move into the west and northern counties overnight but expect them to dissipate. Lows will be in the low 70s.
Saturday, expect partly cloudy skies and highs a little closer to average. Temperatures will be in the low to mid- 90s across the area. Winds will be from the south at 10 to 15 mph. Afternoon showers are possible but will be weakening. Lows will be in the low 70s.
Sunday's forecast, just copy and paste Saturday's. Partly cloudy skies will once again keep temperatures in the low 90s. Afternoon thundershowers will be brief and stay mainly west and north of the Big Country. Lows will be in the low 70s with partly cloudy skies.
Monday will be slightly warmer as skies clear partially and rain stays away. Highs return to the mid-90s. Winds will be from the south at 10 mph. Lows overnight will be in the low to mid- 70s.
Tuesday through Thursday, expect a tropical system, currently in the east Pacific, to make it's way into our area. Rain chances will increase into Wednesday and then slowly taper off through Thursday. Expect gusty winds through those days.
