KTXS Forecast: Toasty afternoon highs before a big weekend cool down.

ABILENE, Texas - Good morning and TGIF! As you're getting up conditions outside will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s to upper 50s and winds are out of the south at 5-15 mph. Some locations have the potential of seeing fog again during the morning commute.

Friday afternoon the Big Country will clear out to mostly sunny conditions with highs ranging from the mid/ upper 80s. A few locations have the potential to break their previous record high temperatures. Winds will build out of the southwest at 10-20 mph later today. Friday night the region will be mostly clear and in the mid/ upper 50s.

Into the weekend, on Saturday, our next cold front will push through the region. Skies will remain mostly sunny and highs will make it to the low/ mid-60s with north winds ranging from 10-20 mph to 15-25 mph. Saturday night winds will die down slightly, lows will cool to the mid/ upper 30s and skies will be mostly clear.

On Sunday, high temperatures will stay close to normal in the mid-60s with mostly sunny conditions and winds will switch to the south at 5-10 mph. Sunday night will be clear and in the upper 30s/ low 40s.

For Monday afternoon the region will be in the upper 60s/ low 70s with slight building cloud cover through the day. Monday night another cold front will begin to move into the region so skies will become partly cloudy with lows in the low 40s.

Into Tuesday the Big Country will see highs range from the upper 60s/ low 70s before the cold front moves through. Skies are expected to remain partly cloudy with winds switching to the north at 5-10 mph. Tuesday night there will be isolated rain chances with lows in the mid-40s.

By Wednesday, winds will return to the south at 5-10 mph and highs will hover in the low 70s. Wednesday night the region will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the mid/ upper 40s.

Currently for Thursday, which is Thanksgiving, it looks like we will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs staying in the low/ mid-70s and have winds from the south/ southeast at 5-10 mph.
