ABILENE, Texas - Sunny, warm, and quiet weather will remain in the weather pattern for the Big Country over the next several days.

For today, enjoy mostly sunny skies with temperatures topping out in the lower 90s once again. Winds will be southwesterly in the morning then become southerly during the afternoon at 5 to 10 mph.

Mostly clear skies are forecast tonight with temperature readings returning to the lower 70s. Winds could pick up some out of the south at 5 to 15 mph.

For the remainder of the week, we will be under sunny skies with no rain chances and temperatures should warm and lock in to the middle 90s each afternoon from Wednesday through Saturday.

By the weekend, we could be tracking a weak inverted upper level system sliding northwest from the Gulf of Mexico along the Rio Grande.

If current guidance consistency remains, there may be a slight chance for thundershowers in the forecast for Sunday and Monday for mainly our southern areas like the Concho Valley and the Heartland.
