ABILENE, Texas - We had dry and slightly milder air over our area Tuesday. Storms were found to our east and south Tuesday. An upper level system is forecast to move east and approach our region Wednesday night. This should bring thunderstorms into our area Wednesday night and Thursday.

Look for increasing clouds Tuesday night. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be in the upper 50s. Mostly cloudy skies are expected for Wednesday. High temperatures should be in the upper 70s.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop to our west and move eastward into our western areas Wednesday evening. Thunderstorms are forecast to drift eastward into most of our area by sunrise Thursday. Strong winds, heavy rainfall and lightning look to be the main weather dangers.

Mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers and thundershowers are forecast to continue in our area Thursday. High temperatures Thursday should be in the middle to upper 70s.

Partly cloudy skies and mainly dry weather are expected for Friday and Saturday. High temperatures should be lower 80s. We are tracking a chance for thunderstorms - mainly northern areas - for Sunday.
