KTXS Forecast: Turning cooler Tuesday night
ABILENE, Texas - Temperatures were in the 70s and lower 80s Monday afternoon. This warm air should stay with us through the day Tuesday. A cold front moving in Tuesday evening will bring back cooler temperatures for Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Some clouds are expected to return to our area towards sunrise Tuesday. Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be in the middle 50s. Breezy south winds around 20 should continue.
Mostly sunny skies are forecast before noon Tuesday. High temperatures should be back in the 70s. Watch out for strong southwest winds at 20-25 mph with higher gusts possible.
The cold front should move in Tuesday evening with no rainfall and mostly fair skies. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be around 40.
Wednesday should be fair and mild with afternoon temperatures in the middle 60s. Another dry cold front is forecast to move in Thursday morning. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be around 40.
High clouds are forecast to increase across the area during the day Thursday. High temperatures Thursday should be in the middle 60s.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Friday. High temperatures should be in the lower 60s.
The weekend looks to be mostly fair with highs in the 70s both days. Dry weather should continue through Sunday.
