KTXS Forecast: Very warm November weekend

ABILENE, Texas - We tracked a cold front into our area Thursday night. It brought a cooler temperatures for a while Friday. That cold air is forecast to return north Friday night and open the door for very warm temperatures for the weekend.

Fair skies Friday evening should become mostly cloudy before sunrise Saturday. Low temperatures should be in the middle 50s to lower 60s.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast by Saturday afternoon. High temperatures should be back into the middle 80s. The record high temperature for November 4th in Abilene is 87. So, we will be close to the record.

Even warmer temperatures are expected Sunday with high temperatures near 90. The record high temperature for November 5th in Abilene is 90. It is possible we could tie the record Sunday.

A cold front is forecast to move in Monday afternoon and bring back cooler temperatures for Monday night and Tuesday. High temperatures Monday should be in the 80s and only around 60 Tuesday.

An upper level disturbance is expected to move eastward through our area Wednesday and bring cloudy skies and good chances for rain. High temperatures Wednesday should only warm into the 40s.

Remember, it is time change weekend. We go back to Central Standard Time at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. For clocks that don't automatically change, you'll need to turn them BACK one hour before you go to sleep Saturday night.
