KTXS Forecast: Very warm Tuesday
ABILENE, Texas - After a cool weekend and fairly mild Monday, very warm air will race back for Tuesday. Mostly clear skies should continue for Monday night. Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be in the low to middle 60s.
Sunny skies and strong southwest winds at 20 to 25 mph should push Tuesday afternoon temperatures into the lower to middle 90s over the area.
An approaching cold front should bring back clouds to our area Tuesday night. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be around 60.
The cold front should move through Abilene around sunrise Wednesday morning, but rain chances are low with this cold front. High temperatures should only climb to around 70 Wednesday afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and north winds around 20 mph.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday night. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be around 50. Sunny skies and warming temperatures are back for Thursday. Afternoon readings should be in the middle 80s. Sunny skies are expected for Friday with afternoon temperatures near 90.
A cold front is forecast to move in Saturday. This could bring scattered thunderstorms to our area. High temperatures Saturday should be near 80.
A trailing upper level system will likely bring mostly cloudy skies and light showers for Sunday. High temperatures Sunday will struggle to reach 70.
