KTXS Forecast: The warm and sunny weather is here to stay

ABILENE, Texas - Sunday night lows will cool to the mid-30s with clear skies and northwest winds switching to the west/ southwest at 5-15 mph.

Monday and Tuesday highs will be in the low to mid-70s with sunny skies and southwest winds at 5-10 mph. Lows through this time will be in the upper 30s/ low 40s with clear conditions.

On Wednesday a weak cold front will try to move through the region but currently is not expected to reach the southern most counties of the Big Country. Highs on Wednesday will range from upper 60s north of I20 to low/ mid-70s south of I20, with sunny skies for all. Lows Wednesday night will be in the upper 30s with clear skies and north winds at 5-10 mph.

Thursday and Friday highs will reach the upper 60s/ low 70s across the region. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny with southwest winds at 5-10 mph. Lows during this period will be in the mid-40s.

For the coming weekend it currently looks like a disturbance will move through the region. Cloud cover will begin to pick up Friday night and build in Saturday and Sunday. Highs will stay in the low to mid-60s with a 10-20 percent chance of showers to thundershowers for the Big Country. Lows are expected to stay in the low to mid-40s during this time.
