KTXS Forecast: Warm and windy Tuesday
ABILENE, Texas - It really warmed up Monday afternoon. High temperatures were in the 70s over the area. After the warm day, temperatures should only drop into the 40s Monday night.
We are tracking a weak cold front that should move east through our area during the day Tuesday. Mostly fair skies and dry conditions should continue. However, watch out for strong southwest to west winds at 20-25 mph with higher gusts possible. High temperatures should be back in the low to middle 70s Tuesday.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Tuesday night. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be around 40. A stronger cold front is expected to move through our area during the day Wednesday. High temperatures Wednesday should be in the upper 50s.
Mostly fair skies should be found for Wednesday night. A freeze is expected for Thursday morning. Low temperatures should be around 30. Look for partly cloudy skies Thursday with highs near 60.
Fairly normal late January temperatures are expected for Friday with lows around 30 and highs in the upper 50s under mostly fair skies. Similar temperatures are forecast for Saturday, but an upper level system could bring back mostly cloudy skies for Saturday.
