KTXS Forecast: Warm temperatures continue
ABILENE, Texas - We tracked isolated showers and thundershowers moving northeast through mainly our western and northern areas Friday. They looked pretty good on the weather radar, but much of the rain evaporated before it could reach the ground.
Additional weak disturbances are forecast to move through our region Saturday. The better chances for showers should be west of a San Angelo to Sweetwater to Knox City line. Most of our area should just see partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be around 70. Afternoon high temperatures should be in the lower to middle 90s.
Stray showers will be possible mainly north of an Aspermont to Haskell to Throckmorton line Saturday night and Sunday. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies Saturday night and Sunday. Low temperatures should be around 70 again Sunday morning with afternoon high temperatures mainly in the lower 90s.
Dry weather is forecast for our area for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the lower 90s both days. We are tracking Tropical Storm Norma off of the west coast of Mexico. She is forecast to dissipate over northwest Mexico late Tuesday and send tropical moisture into our region Wednesday. This should help to bring decent chances for needed rainfall to our area for Wednesday and maybe into Thursday.
