KTXS Forecast: Warmer highs with a nice weekend ahead.
ABILENE, Texas - Good morning and TGIF! As you're getting up conditions outside are mostly clear to partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from the mid-30s to low 40s and winds are out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. Yet again the region is expecting fog for several locations during the morning commute. Friday afternoon will see highs warm a little more to the upper 50s to mid-60s and have mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Friday night the region is expected to be partly cloudy with lows in the mid/ upper 40s and winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph. Into the weekend, on Saturday which is also Veteran's Day, the region will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy once again. Highs are going to make it to around average in the upper 60s/ low 70s and winds will be out of the south/ southwest around 10-20 mph. Saturday night our next cold front will begin to slide into the region. This will make skies partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with lows cooling to the low 50s. By Sunday the region will be back in the mid/ upper 60s with partly cloudy skies, northeast winds at 5-15 mph and there will be a 10-20 percent chance of isolated showers through the day. Sunday night the cloud cover and rain chances will linger and lows will be in the upper 40s. On Monday highs will stay in the mid/ upper 60s with decreasing cloud cover through the day. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph and there will be a 10-20 percent chance of scattered showers. Monday night the region will be mostly clear and lows will return to the low 50s. Tuesday and Wednesday look like they will be mostly sunny with highs back above normal in the low/ mid-70s and have winds from the southwest at 5-10 mph. Lows through this period will be in the low/ mid-50s with mostly clear conditions. Currently, for Thursday, it looks like the Big Country will become partly cloudy again and highs will remain in the mid-70s. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid-50s and winds will be out of the south at 5-15 mph. Have a great day! -MV-
