KTXS Forecast - Warming and drying for the weekend

ABILENE, Texas - A stalled cold front to our east and an upper level low pressure system passing to our north have been combining to bring cloudy skies and showers to our area for most of the work week. The upper level system should move far enough away from our area to allow dry weather to return Saturday.

Cloudy skies should continue Friday night with mist or drizzle likely. Heavier showers will be possible. Low temperatures should be around 60.

Overcast skies should be with us Saturday morning. Light drizzle will be possible. Clouds are forecast break from east to west Saturday afternoon with dry afternoon weather. High temperatures Saturday should be in the 70s.

Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for Saturday night. Low temperatures Sunday morning should be in the lower 60s.

Partly cloudy skies are expected for Sunday and Monday. High temperatures should be in the middle 80s both days.

An upper level disturbance is forecast to move west into our area Wednesday and bring back fairly good chances for rain Wednesday into Thursday.
