KTXS Forecast: Warming back to around average with sunny skies
ABILENE, Texas - As we start of Thursday morning conditions outside will be clear with temperatures in the upper 30s/ low 40s with winds from the south at 5-10 mph. You will need a warm jacket with you as you head out the door.
Thursday afternoon highs will return to around average in the mid-70s with sunny skies and winds from the south/ southwest at 5-10 mph. Tonight we will be clear to mostly clear with lows in the low 50s.
For our Friday, highs will be in the mid/ upper 70s with sunny conditions and winds from the southwest at 10-20 mph. Friday night we'll be mostly clear with lows in the low 50s.
Saturday afternoon highs will quickly warm to the mid-80s with mostly sunny conditions and winds from the southwest at 5-15 mph. Saturday night we will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the mid/ upper 50s.
On Sunday, skies will build cloud cover through the afternoon and highs will reach the low/ mid-80s. Into Sunday night skies will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with lows in the low 60s and there will be a 10-20 percent chance of thundershowers for the region.
Monday afternoon a cold front will push through the region. This will make skies stay partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with highs in the low 80s, winds form the northeast at 5-10 mph and bump thunderstorm chances up to 20-40 percent. Monday night rain chances decrease slightly and lows will cool to the low 60s.
For Tuesday, highs will be in the upper 70s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, winds from the east at 5-15 mph and there will be a 10-20 percent chance of thundershowers for the region. Tuesday night rain chances increase and lows will be in the mid-50s.
Currently, Wednesday looks like it will be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid/ upper 70s and a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms for the region.
