KTXS Forecast: Warming temperatures rest of the week
ABILENE, Texas - Most days this month have been dry. Low humidity air has helped give us mild, below normal temperature mornings and warm afternoons. Unfortunately, we are losing this break from the normal September heat and climbing back to above normal temperatures for the back half of this week.
Fair skies should continue for Monday night. Enjoy another mild start to the day with low temperatures Tuesday morning in the upper 50s. Sunny skies should be with us again Tuesday. Afternoon high temperatures should be near 90.
Mostly fair skies and dry weather are forecast for the rest of the work week and the weekend. High temperatures should be in the lower to middle 90s with lows in the low 60s to near 70 by the weekend.
Monday evening, Irma was still a tropical storm, but continuing to weaken. She is bringing steady rain to the Southeastern U.S.
We are still tracking Hurricane Jose. He has become trapped northeast of the Bahamas in the Atlantic Ocean. He is forecast to make a clockwise loop over the next three days. He then could move northwest towards the Carolinas this weekend.
