KTXS Forecast: Warming temperatures to finish out January
ABILENE, Texas - Sunday afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-60s with sunny skies and northwest winds at 5-15 mph. Sunday night winds will switch to the southwest at 5-10 mph and lows will cool to the mid-30s.
For the start of the work week, on Monday the warming trend continues. Highs will warm to the upper 60s/ low 70s with sunny to mostly sunny skies and southwest winds at 5-10 mph. Monday night clear conditions remain and lows cool to the upper 30s/ low 40s.
Tuesday through Thursday conditions will remain very consistent in regards to high temperatures. Highs during this time will be in the upper 60s/ low 70s with sunny skies and south winds at 5-15 mph. Lows through this period will be in the low to mid-40s with clear skies.
On Friday slight cloud cover will begin to move in. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies and a 10 percent chance of showers for areas south of I20. Lows Friday night will cool to the mid-40s with continued rain chances and building cloud cover.
For the coming weekend conditions look like they will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid-60s and slight rain chances for the region.
