KTXS Forecast: Warming trend begins Thursday
ABILENE, Texas - High temperatures Wednesday ranged from 66 in Cisco to 70 in Breckenridge and San Angelo. In Abilene, the high temperature was 67 - eight degrees below the normal high of 75. Cool temperatures should continue across the area into Thursday.
Fair skies should continue Wednesday night with light winds. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be near 40. However, upper 30s will be possible Thursday morning in the Heartland where a frost will be possible.
Sunny skies are expected for Thursday. It should be a warmer day than Wednesday with afternoon temperatures back up into the upper 70s. South winds around 10 are forecast.
Fair skies should be found Thursday evening, but a few low clouds may return before sunrise Friday. Low temperatures should be around 50.
Mostly sunny skies are expected before noon Friday. High temperatures should be near 80.
Saturday should be mostly sunny with highs in the middle to upper 80s. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Sunday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s. We are tracking thunderstorm chances for mainly eastern areas Sunday night.
