KTXS Forecast: Warming trend continues as highs push into the mid-80s
ABILENE, Texas - Tuesday morning skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from the low to upper 50s and have south winds at 5-10 mph. Similar to yesterday, there is a chance of fog for some areas across the Big Country this morning.
Tuesday afternoon skies will clear to sunny/ mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s and have winds out of the south at 5-15 mph. Tuesday night skies become partly cloudy with lows in the low 60s.
On Wednesday, highs will warm to the upper 80s/ low 90s with sunny skies and winds out of the southeast at 10-15 mph. Wednesday night lows cool to the low/ mid-60s with mostly clear skies.
Thursday highs remain in the upper 80s/ low 90s with mostly sunny conditions and winds from the southwest at 10-15 mph. Thursday night skies become partly cloudy with lows in the mid-60s.
For Friday we will begin mostly sunny but build cloud cover into the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 80s with winds from the southwest at 10-20 mph. Friday night skies will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid-60s and there will be a 20-30 percent chance of thunderstorms across the area as a cold front begins to push through the Big Country.
Early Saturday morning the cold front will move through the region. This will cause highs to be in the low 70s with partly cloudy skies and winds from the northwest at 10-20 mph. Rain chances will decrease through the afternoon. Saturday night skies clear to mostly clear and lows will be in the upper 40s.
Sunday afternoon highs remain in the low/ mid-70s with mostly clear skies and winds from the north/ northeast at 10-15 mph. Sunday night the region will have clear skies with lows in the upper 40s.
Currently Monday looks like it will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s.
