KTXS Forecast: Warming trend continues with above normal highs
ABILENE, Texas - Thursday morning skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with temperatures in the low to mid-60s and have winds out of the south at 10-20 mph.
Thursday afternoon skies clear to mostly sunny with highs above normal in the mid/ upper 80s with southernmost counties seeing low 90s. Winds will slow from the south at 5-15 mph later this afternoon. Tonight skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the low/ mid-60s. Northernmost counties have a 10-20 percent chance of seeing a stray thundershower overnight.
For Friday skies will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s/ low 90s and have breezy winds from the southwest at 15-20 mph. Friday night a cold front will move through the region, causing lows to be in the mid-40s with winds out of the northwest at 15-20 mph. There will also be a 10-20 percent chance of scattered thundershowers as the front moves through overnight.
By Saturday afternoon skies will clear to mostly sunny with highs well below normal in the upper 60s/ low 70s. Saturday night skies will be clear with lows in the mid-40s and have winds out of the northeast at 10-20 mph.
Sunday highs stay in the low/ mid-70s with sunny conditions and northeast winds at 10-20 mph. Sunday night we will be clear and in the upper 40s.
For Monday highs warm back to the low 80s with sunny skies and winds from the southeast at 10-15 mph. Monday night will be clear and in the low 50s.
Currently for Tuesday and Wednesday, highs look like they'll be in the mid/ upper 80 with sunny to mostly sunny conditions. Lows through this period will be in the upper 50s.
