KTXS Forecast: Windy and very warm Friday

ABILENE, Texas - Sunshine returned to our area Thursday. Temperatures warmed back into the 70s. Even warmer temperatures are forecast for Friday.

Record high temperatures could be tied or broken Friday. The current record high for November 18th in Abilene is 86 and in San Angelo it is 84. High temperatures in our area are forecast to be in the middle to upper 80s Friday afternoon - about 20 degrees above normal.

A few clouds are forecast to move back in before sunrise Friday. Low temperatures should be in the upper 50s.

It should be sunny, windy and very warm for Friday. Watch out for southwest winds around 20 mph with higher gusts. High temperatures should be in the middle to upper 80s.

Warm and windy conditions stay for football games Friday night. Temperatures should be in the lower 70s with south winds around 20 mph. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be in the 50s as a cold front moves in around sunrise.

Mostly sunny skies are forecast for Saturday. High temperatures should be in the lower to middle 60s. Strong north winds around 25 mph are expected.

Winds die down Saturday evening. With clear skies, temperatures Sunday morning should be in the low to middle 30s. A light freeze or frost is expected Sunday morning.

Sunny skies are forecast for Sunday and Monday with high temperatures in the 60s. Fairly quiet conditions should continue through Thanksgiving Day with temperatures running a little above normal.
