KTXS Forecast: Warmth to continue, cold front on the way
ABILENE, Texas - Monday night conditions will cool to the upper 30s to low 40s across the region with clear skies and mild southwest winds at 5-10 mph.
On Tuesday highs will climb back to the mid-70s for much of the region. Skies will remain sunny to mostly sunny with southwest winds at 5-15 mph. Tuesday night, lows will cool to the low 40s with clear conditions.
Wednesday morning, our next cold front will move through the region. High temperatures during the afternoon be around the upper 60s to mid-70s as the front pushes through. Skies will stay sunny with no rain chances and winds will switch to the north at 5-10 mph. Wednesday night lows will drop to the mid-to-upper 30s.
Thursday afternoon highs will remain slightly above normal in the low 60s with mostly sunny conditions. Thursday night lows will cool back to the upper 30s.
Starting Friday, cloud cover will begin to move into the region. Into the afternoon, highs will warm to the low/ mid-60s with partly cloudy skies. Skies will build to mostly cloudy Friday night as lows cool to the upper 30s to low 40s with a 10 percent chance of showers for the region.
Another cold front will move through this weekend. Highs are expected to be in the low to mid-60s with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and a 10-20 percent chance of showers for the Big Country.
