Man sentenced to 10 years for child sex crimes in Brown County
BROWN COUNTY, Texas - A state district court judge sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Gerald Livingston, 24, pleaded guilty to the charges Thursday afternoon before Brown County Judge Stephen Ellis, according to the 35th Judicial District Clerk's Office. He waived his right to a jury in June.
Livingston was indicted for committing child sex crimes in August of 2015, according to court documents. Records state Livingston sexually assaulted a girl under the age of 14 on two separate occasions in October of 2011.
He was transferred to the Brown County Jail on Thursday, where he'll then be released to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
