ABILENE, Texas - Temperatures were about seven degrees above normal Thursday with most locations topping out with temperatures at or above 100.

After this very warm day, look for mostly fair skies Thursday night with low temperatures Friday morning in the upper 70s. Sunny and hot conditions are forecast again for Friday. Afternoon temperatures should be back up around 100.

We are tracking an upper level disturbance that is expected to move through our area Friday evening. This should bring a better chance of showers and thunderstorms to our area for Friday night. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be in the middle 70s.

If we have showers and thunderstorms Friday night, we could have wind shift boundaries left in our area for Saturday. These could help trigger showers and thunderstorms in our area for Saturday. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies Saturday with highs in the middle to upper 90s.

Dry weather is forecast for Sunday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 90s. Late day thundershowers will be possible again Monday and Tuesday for mainly our western areas.
