ABILENE, Texas - Above normal temperatures and dry conditions were found over our area Thursday. Similar weather is forecast for Friday.

We are tracking a weak disturbance in the central U.S. that could move south and bring a chance of thunderstorms to our region for Saturday night.

We are also tracking cool air moving south into the eastern U.S. Some of this milder air is forecast to spill westward and bring us a little cool down for Sunday and Monday.

Fair skies should be found over our area Thursday night with lows Friday morning in the middle 70s. Sunny skies are expected again Friday and Saturday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 90s.

We are tracking that chance for thunderstorms for mainly the Big Country for Saturday night. Partly cloudy skies are expected for Sunday and Monday with highs in the low to middle 90s.

There should be fairly good chances for showers for mainly eastern Texas and around I-10 for Sunday and Monday.

Dry weather and increasing afternoon temperatures are forecast for Tuesday through Thursday.
