ABILENE, Texas - An area of high pressure is building back over the region from the west. This feature should help to keep rain chances very low and temperatures above normal for the rest of the week.

Fair skies should continue over the area Monday night. Lows temperatures Tuesday morning should be in the middle to upper 70s.

Sunny skies should be found again Tuesday. Look for afternoon temperatures back up around 100. Breezy south winds should continue at 15-25 mph.

Similar conditions are forecast for Wednesday through Friday. High temperatures should continue to reach around 100 each day. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90 for the weekend.

There will be a slim chance of thundershowers moving southeast into our northwestern counties Wednesday and Thursday evening. The rest of our area should continue dry.
