ABILENE, Texas - An upper level disturbance brought clouds and thundershowers to much of the Big Country Tuesday. This keep high temperatures for many locations north of I-20 in the lower 90s for Tuesday - about 10 degrees cooler than Monday.

In contrast, mostly fair skies south of I-20 Tuesday helped push afternoon temperatures back up into the low 100s.

We are tracking the dryline to our west. This feature should create late day thunderstorms that may move into our western areas during the evening hours for Wednesday through Friday. Elsewhere mainly fair skies and dry conditions are expected.

Showers will continue to fade in our western areas Tuesday evening. Look for partly cloudy skies Tuesday night with lows in the middle to upper 70s for Wednesday morning.

Sunny skies and hot temperatures should be found over our region for Wednesday. Afternoon temperatures should be around 100. Evening thundershowers will be possible for western areas again Wednesday night. Otherwise, it should be partly cloudy Wednesday night with lows in the middle to upper 70s again Thursday morning.

Above normal temperatures with highs near 100 and lows in the middle to upper 70s are forecast through the weekend.
