Melissa Valdez: Cloud cover and rain chances to end the weekend
ABILENE, Texas - Sunday will be partly cloudy with south winds at 10-15 mph, highs are only expected to reach the low to mid-90s for most areas. As we head into the later afternoon there is a 10-20 percent chance of isolated thundershowers for the region. Sunday night rain chances persist, lows get to the low 70s and partly cloudy skies remain.
For the start of the work week the normal temperatures for this time of year stick around. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s with partly cloudy skies. A 10-20 percent chances of isolated thundershowers pops back in through the afternoon and overnight. Monday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the low 70s.
On Tuesday we have a weak disturbance that is going to move through the area. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies for the Big Country. Rain chances will be at a 20-30 percent chance for isolated thundershowers. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with northeast winds at 5-10 mph and lows in the low 70s.
Wednesday we see rain chances decrease, but the partly cloudy skies remain. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s with southeast winds at 5-10 mph. Wednesday night will be in the low 70s.
Thursday and Friday we see skies go to mostly sunny with highs in the mid-90s and south winds at 5-10 mph. Both nights will be in the low 70s with mostly clear skies.
As the coming weekend rolls in, it currently looks like cloud cover will start to build back in to partly cloudy conditions. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s.
