Melissa Valdez: Summer-like weather headed to the Big Country

ABILENE, Texas - Happy Sunday! For Sunday night, a 10-20 percent chance of isolated thundershowers remains for most of the Big Country. Conditions will be partly cloudy with lows in the 70s and southeast winds at 5-15 mph.

Rain chances stay around 10 percent for the start of the work week. Highs are expected to get to the low 90s for most places, lows will be in the mid-70s at night. Skies will be partly cloudy throughout.

Tuesday, we see rain chances move out of the area. Highs will warm to the mid-90s before reaching the upper 90s by Friday. Skies will clear to mostly sunny with south winds at 5-15 mph. Lows during this time period will be in the mid-70s.

Saturday, we will see a weak front move through the area. Expect high temperatures in the mid-upper 90s for the area. Saturday night will be clear, lows will be in the low 70s with north winds at 5-10 mph.
