(KTUL) - Nintendo heard your cries.

The Japanese gaming company has announced that it will be bringing back the recently discontinued, yet still highly sought after, NES Classic Edition in summer 2018, according to a press release. Fans have been vocal about their displeasure with the decision to discontinue the retro gaming console, which was already difficult to find when it was being sold in stores.

"I would strongly urge you not to overbid on an SNES Classic on any of the auction sites," Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime told the Financial Times Saturday. "You shouldn't [have to] pay more than $79.99."

Nintendo originally said that the SNES Classic Edition would ship through the end of the year, but now the company says the system will continue to be stocked into 2018.
