Child taken to hospital following school bus vs. semi crash in Comanche County


COMANCHE COUNTY, Texas - A child is being treated for non-life threatening injuries Tuesday morning following a school bus versus semi-truck crash in Comanche County.

Four children and the driver were inside the Sidney Independent School District bus when the accident happened at 7 a.m., according to Rising Star Volunteer Fire Chief Josh Constancio.

Constancio said it occurred east of Rising Star between the intersection of CR 124 and Hwy 36.


The child was transported to Comanche County Medical Center. The driver of the semi truck wasn't injured, according to the fire chief.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the crash.

The Sipe Springs Volunteer Fire Department also responded to this accident.
