Police officer from Clyde, 42, dies of cancer
CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas - The Callahan County Sheriff's Office and the Clyde Police Department lost one of their own to cancer.
Brian Campbell, 42, was diagnosed with stage four sarcoma cancer in September and succumbed to the disease Saturday night.
KTXS had profiled the community's support for Campbell, who was a K-9 officer with the Clyde Police Department for six years before becoming a deputy. A benefit was held in Clyde for the officer's expenses, and members of the two Callahan County law enforcement agencies he worked for shaved their heads in solidarity with Campbell.
Parker Funeral Home in Baird will be handling Campbell's burial arrangements. KTXS will update this article when more details are finalized.
