Eastland police still looking for man who pointed pistol at 2nd vehicle during chase
EASTLAND, Texas - Police in Eastland are asking for help locating a 30-year-old man who they say pointed a pistol at the occupants of second vehicle during a vehicle chase Monday. They also say Travis Michael Kempe, who remained on the loose Wednesday, ran his vehicle into the second one before fleeing to Cisco, where his vehicle was found abandoned. An up to $1,000 award is being offered by Eastland County Crime Stoppers for information leading to Kempe's arrest. Kempe is being sought for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Other warrants for his arrest include criminal mischief over $750 and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, the Eastland Police Department said in a social media message. Kempe is described as 5-foot-7, 190 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. "Kempe moves around a lot but is from the area," the Eastland police release said.
