Police: Woman, 3 others stabbed by her boyfriend in Breckenridge


BRECKENRIDGE, Texas - Two bloody crime scenes in Breckenridge with one connection - a 34-year-old man who police say stabbed four people, including his girlfriend.

The girlfriend, 38, showed up at Stephens Memorial Hospital around 7:30 p.m. She had been stabbed in the abdomen. Police said her boyfriend, Ben Carlos Acosta, stabbed her.

He apparently did not stop there. Around 9:30 p.m., police were called to the 500 block of West Walker Street for a report of multiple stabbings. They found a 16-year-old boy stabbed in his right bicep, a 40-year-old woman stabbed in her left forearm and a 45-year-old man stabbed in his right upper abdomen, left arm near the wrist, and his bottom lip.

Police arrested Acosta at the scene on West Walker. The three victims said they do not know Acosta.

Acosta's girlfriend and the 45-year-old man were both transferred to a hospital in Abilene.

Police say Acosta fought with the officers who tried to put him in the back of the patrol car. He kicked one of them in the face.

Acotsa faces multiple felony charges, including three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault family violence with a deadly weapon, assault on a public servant and resisting arrest or transport.

Police have not released the victims' names.
