Special Abilene City Council meeting set for input on payday lenders
ABILENE, Texas - A special Abilene City Council meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25 to hear further public input on a proposed ordinance to regular payday lenders.
The public is invited to comment on the matter. However, no voting will take place that evening.
City council is scheduled to hear further public comment and vote on a payday lender ordinance at its regularly scheduled that Thursday, April 27.
Also on the agenda for Tuesday's special meeting is illegal dumping and automated water metering systems for the city of Abilene.
