Hospital releases conditions of Stamford, Abilene men after fatal accident

A Lubbock hospital has released the conditions of three passengers involved in a crash Saturday morning in Crosby County, east of Lubbock.

All three men ejected from the vehicle were taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock. The hospital confirmed 41- year-old Jeffery London, of Stamford, is in serious condition and 34-year-old Jerrad Chamber, of Stamford, is in stable condition.

John Chambers, 35, of Abilene, was one of the three men taken to University Medical Center.

However, a spokesperson for the hospital told KTXS Sunday evening they do not have a patient by that name.

Saturday night KTXS reported the driver, 41-year old Christopher Lee Elias, of Stamford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash is still under investigation.

A 41-year-old Stamford man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on State Road 207 near County Road 230 in Crosby County.

Christopher Lee Elias was pronounced deceased at the scene, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Frederick Biddle said.

Three passengers who were ejected from the vehicle were taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock with "unknown injuries," Biddle said The passengers included John Chambers, 35, of Abilene; Jeffery Scott London, 41, of Stamford, and Jerrad Chamber, 34, of Stamford.

The accident occurred about 6 a.m. Saturday.

According to Biddle, Elias was driving a Ford pickup north on State Road 207 "when he lost control and overcorrected, rolling the vehicle several times."

Biddle said the crash is still under investigation
