Sweetwater woman returns after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
SWEETWATER, Texas - Sweetwater resident Stacy Boil has returned from climbing the tallest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.
We told you the story when she left the Big Country for the trip. She was in Africa from Jan. 1 to Jan. 12.
Eight of those days were spent climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with a dozen of other people from around the world.

She even lost her left toenail during the last 18 hours of her journey up the mountain.
Boil says although the trip was physically demanding and more than what she anticipated, she gained life-changing experiences. "It definitely broadened my horizons and kind of deepened me spiritually as well," Boil said. She traveled with Kilimanjaro touring company Climb Kili out of Utah.
