TABC rankings released for week of January 16th

ABILENE, TX - As the district season continues on Tuesday for high school hoops, Monday brought some movement among state ranked programs in the Big Country.

The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches released their weekly rankings Monday, and the Wylie boys are back in 4 th , sitting 20-3 so far on the year.

In class 2A, Albany remains 16 th after a big win over Haskell on Friday. The Lions are now 15-4 respectively heading into another busy district week.

In girls basketball, Brownwood and Wylie are both back-to-back in class 4A -- 18 th and 19 th this week, while the Jim Ned Lady Indians remain in 5 th for class 3A, at 3-0 in district play.

Also ranked this week:

Class 1A Eula boys now 14 th at 15-6, while in TAPPS 3A, the Abilene Christian Panthers drop to 3 rd following a couple losses.

Haskell girls are now 22 nd in class 2A, 21-5 on the year, while unbeaten Hermleigh sits 3 rd in 1A, joining the Eula Lady Pirates in 7 th , Ira girls 13 th , and May in 14 th .
