ABILENE, Texas - Over the next few days, we will be tracking a weak upper level disturbance and frontal boundary that will bring additional rainfall to West-Central Texas. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be possible with locally higher amounts.

For today, we may see some peaks of sunshine under mostly cloudy skies. Rain chances increase as we head into the afternoon and evening time frame. Some isolated thunderstorms may become strong. Hail and gusty winds will be possible. Heavy rainfall will be likely with those strong storms. Temperatures will warm into the 80s with southerly winds at 5 to 15 mph.

Tonight, rain chances stay in the forecast. Again, some storms could become strong with hail, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall being a threat. Lows should cool to the 60s.

The severe weather threat moves south of the Heartland and Concho Valley on Wednesday but the flash flooding threat will remain through the end of the week.

On Wednesday, we will see additional rain chances with scattered showers being possible all across West-Central Texas.

The story repeats for Thursday as we will be tracking a frontal boundary move through the Big Country during this time.

By Friday morning, we should be seeing the remains of the rain activity shifting to the south.

Some dry conditions should set up by next weekend.
