ABILENE, Texas - An afternoon pop-up t'storm cannot be ruled out as we head into the weekend with the ingredients in place to fire one up.

For today, we should remain under mostly sunny skies after seeing partly cloudy skies during the morning hours. Temperatures should warm once again near 90 degrees with south-southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph. A stray t'storm cannot be ruled out this afternoon mainly for areas west of Sweetwater. No severe weather is expected. Elsewhere to the east of there should stay dry.

Tonight, we are going back to partly cloudy skies and overnight lows only cooling to the lower 70s. Winds will continue from the south-southeast 10 to 15 mph.

On Saturday and Sunday, we should have partly cloudy to mostly sunny sky conditions each day with low 90s by the afternoon. Once again, a stray pop-up t'storm cannot be ruled out. Nothing severe is expected.

These showers will be very isolated in nature. That means many folks could go the entire weekend without seeing a single rain drop.

Pinpointing the location for where these showers could develop cannot be determined so folks in West-Central Texas need to keep their eyes on the sky if they start to see a shower popping up in the afternoon hours.

By Monday, a pop-up t'storm chance becomes unlikely with most of the parameters needed for development being absent or too far away.

We will keep the forecast dry with mid-90s to start the week but upper 90s will be possible by Wednesday with mostly sunny skies.
