Tye mother arrested after baby tests positive for cocaine, meth
ABILENE, Texas - A Tye mother was arrested Thursday after police say her 6-month-old daughter tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamine. Melissa Michelle Floyd, 32, is charged with endangering a child. She's out of jail after posting bail. Her bond had been set at $25,000. According to court documents, Floyd had her 6-month-old daughter with her when she was arrested for theft on May 9. The baby was turned over to Child Protective Services which performed a drug test. Floyd also tested positive for meth. Police say she admitted to using meth while the child was in her care.
