Wendlee Broadcasting hosting its 9th annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday

BROWNWOOD, Texas - Wendlee Broadcasting is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt in Brownwood on Saturday.

The ninth annual event will go from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and be held inside Coggin Park. Free food and drinks will be provided at the egg hunt, according to Wendlee News Director Leland Acker.

They also plan to hand out 25,000 pieces of candy.

This will be the first year the event will be hosted without long time disk jockey Brian Wade. He suddenly died last year of a pulmonary embolism.

"From the Toys for Kids drive, to the Easter Egg Hunts, to the Trick-or-Treat Trail we do on Halloween to all of our programming. You can't do anything with Wendlee Broadcasting, without thinking about Brian," Acker said.

Saturday's Easter Egg Hunt will also include a bouncy house and pony rides for children.
