West Texas Fair& Rodeo names new rodeo queen
ABILENE, Texas - Two nights after a new Miss America was crowned, a new rodeo queen was crowned in Abilene. Zena Goodwin, 22 of Alvarado, was named 2017 Miss West Texas Fair & Rodeo. She has carried the titles of 2015 Johnson County PRCA Rodeo Queen and 2016 Wichita Falls Mounted Patrol Queen. The selection of Miss West Texas Fair & Rodeo is based on horsemanship, western attire and personality. During her reign, the Miss West Texas Fair & Rodeo travels all over the state encouraging kids to remember "the impact that our rich western heritage has had on the development of our state and to educate everyone about the contributions of Texas agriculture in our everyday lives."
