Zephyr ISD's new turf nearing completion amid lawsuit
ZEPHYR, Texas - The Zephyr Independent School District's new football field turf is almost done.
Construction crews are expected to be finished installing the turf by Monday for the first day of football practice, according to Zephyr ISD Superintendent Stan Marowitz.
Zephyr is currently in litigation against the company that installed its previous turf. The school is suing the Fort Worth-based GC Carter Construction Company for $1,000,000 for installing "faulty turf."
Editor's correction: A previous version of the story stated GC Carter used faulty turf from FieldTurf. The company FieldTurf reached out to KTXS and says they had nothing to do with Zephyr's turf.
