Abilene charity helping families with school clothes
ABILENE, Texas - Families in Abilene are starting to gear up for the next school year, and the Christian Service Center is also stepping in to help.
The center began Operation Blue Jean Thursday to help families in need of financial assistance get school clothes.
Elementary students will each receive a new pair of blue jeans and five pairs of new socks and underwear.
Middle school students will get two pair of standardized school dress pants and polo style shirts.
Various school supplies will also be provided.
