Abilene council to hear final reading on Wylie rezoning request
ABILENE, Texas - The final reading of a rezoning proposal will be presented to Abilene city council members Thursday morning.
A developer would like to change the 26 acres on the 4500 block of Antilley Road from single-family residential to multifamily residential.
"This one is going to be a lively discussion," Abilene city manager Robert Hanna said during Monday morning's media brief. "I would encourage the citizens of this neighborhood to come forward and make sure their voice is heard."
Dozens of residents from the area attended the council's previous hearing on the rezoning, voicing their disapproval.
This week's council meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, at city hall.
