Abilene energy company hiring 100-plus workers
ABILENE, Texas —
An Abilene energy company is holding a job fair next week, hoping to fill more than 100 positions.
Broadwind Energy – which “specializes in the production of wind turbine towers and fabrications for oil and gas, mining and other industrial applications” – is looking for welders, fabricators, assemblers, maintenance, and yard material handlers.
The job fair is from 7 a.m.–6 p.m. on Jan. 25 at the Abilene Workforce Solutions Center, 500 Chestnut.

Broadwind Energy has two production facilities – Abilene and Manitowoc, Wisconsin – and is “one of the largest producers of utility scale steel wind energy towers in North America.”
